As defined in the strategy for the climate mandate, investments are made in renewable energy directly contributing to SDG 7-1 (universal access to energy services) and SDG 7-2 (increase share of renewables in the global energy mix).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-teft-link-list\"><div class=\"teft-link-list__items\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-teft-link-list-item\"><a class=\"teft-link-list-item__holder\" href=\"https:\/\/reports.norfund.no\/annualreport-2022\/climate-mandate\/investing-in-the-transition-to-net-zero\/\"><div class=\"teft-link-list-item__content\"><div class=\"teft-link-list-item__content-inner\"><div class=\"teft-link-list-item__content-wrapper\"><h3 class=\"teft-link-list-item__title\">More about Norfund\u2019s strategy for the climate mandate 2022-2026<\/h3><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Norfund\u2019s work to mobilise capital from other investors contributes to reducing inequalities between countries (SDG 10) and to increasing investments in developing countries (SDG 17).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"pdf-page-break\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull sdg-descriptions-wrapper has-green-light-background-color has-background is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<h2 class=\"alignwide has-text-align-left is-style-line wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cross-cutting-issues\">Cross-cutting issues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The cross-cutting issues in Norway\u2019s development policy \u2013 human rights (SDG 8), anti-corruption (SDG 16), gender equality (SDG 5), climate and environment (SDG 13) \u2013 are assessed in all our investments.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-human-rights\">Human rights<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-medium is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/reports.norfund.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/E_SDG-goals_icons-individual-rgb-08-1-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-576\" width=\"225\" height=\"225\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The responsibility to respect hu\u00adman rights is a global standard of expected conduct for businesses and their responsibility as employers worldwide (SDG 8.7). As Norfund\u2019s role is to contribute to building sus\u00adtainable businesses, we require our investees to respect human rights by adhering to the IFC Performance Standards. These standards cover relevant parts of the Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights \u2013 such as the core conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and indige\u00adnous peoples\u2019 rights.<a href=\"https:\/\/reports.norfund.no\/annualreport-2022\/responsible-investor\/e-and-s\/\">&nbsp;You can read more about this under E&amp;S.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-zero-tolerance-for-corruption\"><strong>Zero tolerance for corruption<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/reports.norfund.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/E_SDG-goals_icons-individual-rgb-16-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-578\" width=\"225\" height=\"225\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Norfund has zero tolerance for corruption in all its investments and activities. We make clear to our portfolio companies that we do not accept any form of corruption and require them to implement anti-corruption programmes. All Norfund employees and representatives (in\u00adcluding external board members appointed to portfolio com\u00adpanies) are required to sign and abide by Norfund\u2019s Code of Conduct, which prohibits all forms of corruption.
